How to choose the convenient area in Bangkok: ARI, the good tradeoff.

Ari area

Among Bangkok’s favorite and newest neighborhoods, Ari is a very pleasant residential area for family and young people alike. Seduced by its Thai feel and a growing number of recent real estate projects, more and more expats are moving there.

In Ari, you will surely enjoy strolling along the green alleys, marvel at the stalls of the many street vendors and try out the delicious and inexpensive restaurants and cafes. Once adopted, it is truly difficult for people to leave this charming and authentic neighborhood.

Life in Ari

Whether you use public transportation or a car, Ari is ideally located: if you take the skytrain also known as BTS, just get out at “Ari” station above Phahon Yotin Road (between soi 5 and soi 7 commonly referred as soi “Ari”). From there, you are also very close to the express way Rama IV to the West and to the roads linking Phahon Yothin and Rama IV. However, for a short distance ride and as traffic can be a little hectic in Bangkok, we would advise you to use a taxi, a “tuk tuk” or a taxi-bike.

If you like western cuisine, you will enjoy the many international restaurants located inside the shopping center “La Villa” on Phahon Yothin Road (BTS exit 4). The 3-storey shopping center has a lot to offer from outdoor cafes and small but trendy boutiques to the famous “Villa Supermarket” where you will find numerous imported products.

If you are looking for some quiet time, you can safely walk along Ari’s green residential alleys, where you will find many charming condominiums and apartments for rent or for sale. Ari is truly the perfect place for those seeking calm and authenticity while being close to main retailers and transportation.

Thailand’s main banks (TMB Bank, Exim Bank, BKK Bank, Kasikorn Bank), IBM headquarters, car dealerships and office buildings make Ari an attractive area to businessmen as well.

Ari, the good tradeoff

Located in the North of Bangkok, Ari is still accessible and close to the city-center and other attractive neighborhoods. Just a few station stops from the BTS station “Siam” – Bangkok’s main hub and connecting station with the Silom line - you are sure to be downtown or in the Central Business District (CBD) in less than 15 minutes.

On the weekend, get literally lost in one of Bangkok’s biggest weekend and open-air markets, the Chatuchak Market - also known as JJ Market. There, you can find anything from souvenirs, clothes, art, Antiques to puppies for sale. Just take the BTS to Mochit station (only 2 stops from Ari).

Finally, you are also close to the Victory Monument area, a very popular and working-class neighborhood where you will find many cafes, movie theatres, restaurants, Jazz clubs and music bars…
